Rev. Lilia Cuervo making history tomorrow at First Parish, Cambridge

Tomorrow the Rev. Lilia Cuervo is being installed as the Associate Minister  at First Parish in Cambridge, MA.

According to a March 2010 Boston Globe article, Rev. Cuervo will be the first Latina minister hired in the congregations near 400 year  history.

The congregation’s website states that Rev. Cuervo will be the 23rd First Parish minister since 1633. Her call is the culmination of a search process guided by the UUA’s Diversity of Ministry Initiative.

Amy and I will be there.  Should be an amazing event!

Event information may be found at http://www.firstparishcambridge.org/
